The past 6 weeks....

Wow, Ive been slacking on my blogging duties - how embarrassing!! Well since Cristi's birthday the time has flown and so much has been packed in let me see if I can break it down:

> We got ready for the end of the school year. Cristi finished his last year at Gradi (pre-school) and so starts school in the Autumn. He's very excited about going to school and being a big boy like his friends Dani & Anton

> We took a summer trip. We're quite landlocked up here in the North so a friend and I took my baby (who is fanatical about water) on a 8 day drive through Romania to see the sea. On the journey we got to visit a medieval town, the Delta (and its pelicans), a white sandy beach, the oldest town in Romania, visit the real Dracula's Castle, the highest mountain with "the best road in the world" as voted by Jeremy Clarkson, have a snowball fight, visit the 2007 European city of Culture, sleep a night at a family run museum, walk through some deep caves to see some bear bones and have many giggles and wow's along the way. A fantastic trip I hope my boy and I will cherish for a lifetime. If you want to check it out click here and I'll explain more with each picture.

> A visit home for some good times and some sad. I went to see my nephew turn 1. A complete bundle of radiant smiles and joy who I absolutely love with all my heart - I couldn't believe how quickly the time had past seeing as I saw him first and last when he was only 2 weeks old! I saw some friends and even more family as we celebrated the life and passing of a deeply loved and beautiful man who touched many of us and will never be forgotten.

> Back to my home to my beautiful boy and his happy face as he jumped into my arms after almost 2 weeks (it really is crap not being able to bring him with me!!)

> Currently Court and I are staying with the girls through the month of July while their parents take vacation. It's fun to have them but very hard for us all with some of the rules that have been put into place. Court and I now realise (although we knew it would be) that a month was too long for us and all children concerned. Ah well just another 2 weeks to go. Chins up I guess. Bless the sunshine, paddling pools and ice lollies!!

> I also need to start preparing for Camp; for the big kids I work with. We will have 6 camps consisting of 3 days 2 nights of fun so I hope I can stay awake through them as they start the day after I finish with the girls. I am looking forward to seeing my very good friend Hanna and her man who will come to help us with some of the camps. She is my sunshine soulmate and I love her :)

> Then it'll be another short trip to Scotland for a big family party for 2 very amazing and gracious grandparents who celebrate 60 years of marriage - WOW!! Hopefully Court will be coming with me so I can show her around the sights that Bonnie Scotland has to offer!

So needless to say my summer has and will continue to be crazy - and with a temperamental computer that more often than not doesn't want to switch on or stay switched on for long - it might again be a while before I grace this page.

One last thing Cristi wants you all to meet our new family member whom we found alone on the street on a busy market day and so brought her home. He named her as he does with everything after the thing nearest to him at the time so meet Flowers our lil kitten (hopefully she lasts longer than the bunch of flowers which we bought that day).

Have a wonderful sunny - though not as sweaty hot as here - summer xx
