Family Tree

So last Thursday was as I am sure you are aware Valentines Day. Cristi and I love to celebrate this day of love and this year I decided to make sure he understood exactly how many people in his life love him  and what that means. So we embarked on a 3 day project to make ourselves a special 'family of love tree'. First we made up some yummy gingerbread dough and then made ourselves heart cookies of varying sizes. Then we talked about who is in our family and of course Cristi's first response was Laz Ruben and Domino his 2 friends & his cat. That is life for Cristi and I our family is not just our relatives but also our friends: those that we live and work with here and also our friends and family that support us and love us and visit us from both Scotland and Sweden. It was fun and interesting to listen to him name who is in our family and the reasons why. We are so lucky to have such a big and wonderful family and so blessed for the abundance of love we have in our lives. To all my family - related and not I love you dearly and please don't be sad if your name doesn't appear on a cookie it doesn't mean you weren't talked about or included we simply ran out of cookies and space on our tree. How very lucky we are :)

Mask making

Today was a good day. A fun day. I have been sick the last two weeks. I had flu and boy it was rough! I hope the flu stays away from your doors because I can tell you it is not fun at to have it at all! But, today I was healthy enough to go to work and it was so nice to be able to get up this morning and walk there without feeling like I was going to fall over! And it was so nice to see the kids at school again. I missed them! We spent the morning making animal masks and then stomping around pretending to be them. Here's a few shots :)
