A Country Wedding 23.07.11

In a meadow peppered with wild flowers and laughter an American flag blew in the breeze alongside the bright blue and yellow of a Swedish one. Bunting of a mix match of fabrics danced merrily behind a sign that read Wedding. A simple canopy in front of a strong Birch tree captured the words of love cited to each other in both English and Swedish. Their words tip toed on the breeze and skipped around the meadow opening up with possibility as two became entwined for eternity. Glass jars littered the scene some swayed from above holding flickering candles others stood sturdy holding candies brought from two sides of the globe making the mouths of young and old water at their sight. Red and yellow, pink and blue some things old and some things new colours bursting everywhere encapsulating the love and happiness that radiated from this day, their love and the start of their new life together. A night spent with family and close friends topped with the booms of sparks lighting the dark sky, bright and strong a symbol of how these two would step into the new chapter of their lives. A beautiful wedding for two beautiful friends who found love and understanding in a place where it's not always so easy to find.
