Sunday's and Springtime

A quiet drive down country lanes. Green starting to appear in the open fields. A lone old man following a horse drawn plough. Friends laughing and talking happy for a day away from the town. Sunshine streaming in through the car windows. Happy children singing. Blue skies. Magpies. A castle looming through the trees. A park full of laughter and joy. Birdsong on the breeze. A quiet town. A quiet street. Bees buzzing in the trees. Chasing us from our quaint picnic by the home of a famous poet. Kites flying through the air. Crashing down and looping up again. Bats swinging. Balls kicked into the air. The sun beats down and gets ready to set. Home again. Bath time. A good day with great friends and beautiful springtime sun.

The castle - sadly it was closed but it was cool to look at from the outside

That was today's excursion. Here are a few more shots from Romanian Springtime so far............

Walks in the park with the girls

A new cabin structure in town to encourage us to recycle our batteries and light bulbs. They gave out free cards with your photo and name printed on it and a flashing green pen. They also had this fun photo arena so, I am not sure the message of recycling was received by Cristi but it was fun to visit either way.

Mask making with his friends

A protest in the park for water. A protest int he park here in our town??? What? Not a common occurrence for here I must say!

"A drop of water is more valuable than a sack of gold to a thirsty man" - well said girls!!

"Mama come look. I found a knife out in the dirt. Can I keep it?" - Oh my did he find a knife!! And no he did not get to keep it!

Spring is here it is official! The ice cream stand in town is open. The first of many I am sure!
